Degree Certificate from Indian University

A student's certificate of graduation is only issued once. The duplicate degree is only given in the event that the original mark sheets are lost, stolen, or otherwise damaged. Mark sheets are one of the most significant documents you'll receive from the university once you finish your degree, and they're also required when applying for higher education anywhere in the world. Usually, mark sheets are distributed by the university, following the course's completion. However, in cases where it is lost or damaged, or cannot be presented due to unprecedented reasons, you can apply for a duplicate mark sheet on the University's website or by visiting the campus and providing your student details.

Documents Required

1. Affidavit - For a duplicate mark list, you'll need an affidavit that includes your registration number or USN, the year the mark list was issued, the name of the university and college where you studied, and the name of the course you took, and the duration of the course.

2. Cover Letter- An application in the form of a cover letter needs to be written to the University informing of the loss of the particular mark list and request for a duplicate to be issued.

3. Applicant ID proof 

Note- The Affidavit needs to be notarized by a registered notary office. 

Steps For Registration

Procedure 

• Filing a complaint with the nearest police station, stating the loss of the certificate and the certificate's details. Get a hold of a copy of the FIR.

• Reporting the issue to the University.

• Publicizing the loss of the mark list or certificate in the newspaper. Although this stage is optional, certain universities may require it.

• Applying to the University to issue the duplicate mark list or certificate.
