I can't locate my birth certificate, and the hospital where I was born in Calcutta (1972) no longer keeps those records. The witnesses listed on my birth certificate are also out of the count

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) website or office can also help you search for your birth record if you're unsure about its registration.
However, if your birth wasn't registered at all, the KMC can still issue a Non-Availability of Birth Certificate (NABC) which confirms their inability to locate your record.
