According to the US Visa Bulletin for March 2025, India's employment-based visa categories have advanced by six weeks, including EB-2 and EB-3. The EB-1 and EB-5 categories stay the same, whereas the EB-4 category regresses. Applications may be submitted in February by those whose priority dates fall before the specified Final Action Dates.

The Final Action Date for Indian EB-2 applicants will advance to December 1, 2012. The Final Action Date for Indian EB-3 Professionals and Skilled Workers will now be February 1, 2013. The same date will be reached by the EB-3 Other Workers category, which will likewise advance by six weeks.
Applications for employment-based adjustment of status from people whose priority date is earlier than the specified Final Action Dates will be accepted by USCIS in March, the agency has confirmed.

The revised Final Action Date for the EB-4 category will be August 1, 2019, and it will retrogress by about a year and a half. In the upcoming months, this category might become "Unavailable," the State Department has warned.
